If you’re coming to study in the UK from outside of the European Economic Area – you’ll need a student visa. Updates on visa application

From 2 May all applicants applying for a UK visa in Singapore must complete an online visa application form. Only applications that have been completed using the online visa application form on the UK Border Agency website will be accepted from this date.

After completing the online application, applicants may also book an appointment online to submit their biometrics and visa application at the visa application centre. Apply for a general student visa

To apply for a general student visa you will need to fill in an application form, pay a S$536 fee and provide the following:

    • passport or travel document
    • visa letter from your UK education provider
    • bank statements to prove you have enough money to study and live in the UK
    • documents required by your UK education provider when they accepted you for the course
    • biometric details (photo and fingerprint scan)
